1st trip of the season

This was our first trip of the snowmobile season. We went during our Christmas Break to the cabin. We went with Jordans brother, Noah and our friends Mike and Heather. This was just many stuck in the truck moments that happened on our way up there.

yeah yeah not a natural beauty! Its hard to stay pretty snowmobiling!!! Oh and they left me in charge of the fire so of course, I got it ROASTING in there. We had a horrible nights sleep because it was sooo hot! Well the picture says it all. Everyone else slept like a baby cuz they slept on the bottom beds, we had the top.

Jordan and Noah playing Mancala.
Mike and Heather on the snowmobile.

Yep we made it almost out. We left the same way we came in! Look at how limber Noah is! :)

Have you ever had Ugli fruit?

Neither have we! They were having a fruit sale at the store and since we are old and married, we go to the grocery store for our Saturday night activity. We bought pummello, cara cara oranges, blood oranges, minneola and ugli fruit. This is the ugli fruit. How weird!

Jordan is a little unsure of the Ugli.... It had a really mild citrus flavor, sort of like a grapefruit texture, but super thick skin. We werent fans of the ugli!

I am about to try the blood orange. These werent so bad. Like a pomegranate orange mix.
They have a really deep red almost maroon color with a hint of orange. We also tried a pummello. It was my favorite! We still have cara cara oranges and minneola to try.

Christmas Break

I finally got the urge to post about Christmas Break! We got a whole month off. I was excited finals were finally over for the both of us and we could play! We love baking treats and then giving them to our friends! I love that my hubby indulges my Christmas spirit and even helps and wants to bake with me. Its so fun to bake and listen to Christmas music. We even watched a ton of Christmas movies. These are the treats we made this year; cookie dough truffles, snowballs, dipped pretzels, rice crispie treats.
We left on Friday the 18th for Casper and we were there until the Wednesday before Christmas then we went to Utah to see my family for a week. Christmas Eve we went to our favorite Chinese restaurant and played games. Christmas morning we ate the traditional blueberry muffins, sausage, and juice, then we open up presents. Santa hides our stockings so we get to go find those as soon as we get up. I do the same tradition with my hubby. Jordan always finds his super easy! This is where I hid Jordans stocking this year! Jordan got a Squirmie! This is what I got in my stocking! We started this tradition that we both have to fill each others stockings and whatever we get for one another, it has to be a surprise! Jordan got me perfume and an SD card for my phone.

This is my adorable, yet super dorky sister looking for her stocking!

We had Breanas name for Christmas this year. We got her this puffy vest and a head massager. At first she though we were lame-o! But then she tried it and we passed it around and it was a big hit! I should have gotten one for everybody.

Ma and Pa opening their presents.

I have no idea what we are laughing about! But this is some of the gang on Christmas morning.

We opened up presents the night we got back to Casper. Our cute nieces were over as well and "helped" us open them up. Really, they just loved ripping the paper is all. They didn't care what the present was. It was fun to have little kids around on Christmas. Kenz thought it was a jungle gym and loved climbing over all the boxes.
Hannah was a sneaky lil devil! You had to watch her cuz as you can see below she looked interested in what we were doing. But....do a hand check!! Oh yeah totally opening that present! BUSTED!! We let them open pretty much all our presents it was so fun!
Hannah was carrying this around saying, big purse!

The Bookstore Boycott

College has begun and we all know what comes with that .....a down payment on a ford focus for BOOKS! I am so tired of paying ridiculous prices for books and getting offered "top dollar" at textbook buy back with a whoppin $7.00 and they turn around and sell it for $100! Pure ROBBERY! Therefore, I am starting a bookstore boycott! I am trying something new... Sellin our books on half.com! Tell your friends in the Construction Management program and the Speech Language Pathology program to look for our books on half.com :) Or basically just buy your college books there and dont give your money to the thieves at the bookstore. Am I bitter you may ask? Why yes I AM! Especially, when they have 3 people working the cashiers desk during the beginning of the semester both terms. The line to buy your books was longer than the lines at the day after Thanksgiving sale. There ya have it my rant and rave for the day! Ill let ya know how my quest to be bookstore free goes:)

Its CHRISTMAS!!

As we all know from the last post that my husband AKA Scrooge wanted nothing to do with the Christmas spirit. HUH Looks whos fluffing the tree?! After, we got home from Thanksgiving he was all excited about Christmas. Its a good thing to because I have kept him busy doing Christmas activities. This is what he wanted to decorate "his"tree with. Reindeer candy canes that we got from the ward Christmas party. Here I am and may I just say that my husband still has not learned how to take a good picture of me!!! This is take #4 and still is scary!! Anyways, this is me baking our favorite holiday treat Cookie Dough Truffles they are so good and also so BAD for you!
This is my "helper" it looks like he is working but really he is scraping the bowl to lick it!

So I have to confess . . We may have had Christmas a little early!!!I have this horrible lets call it a glitch that when I get a present early I love opening them early. Well... looks like Ive rubbed off on my husband too. Sshhh dont tell!!

This is Jordan trying to figure out how the best way to wrap this present as to not waste the most paper. He is definitely a Construction Management Major!!

I have no idea!! Lol Thats all Im saying! We were at the Ward Christmas Party and it was the morning of Christmas theme so we all wore our PJs. Jordan LOVES these kind of hats so of course what a perfect place to wear it??!!But oh how it gets better!! A couple families in our ward were asked to share their family traditions. This one particular lady and 25 minutes later of a storybook reading this is what it drove my husband to! If you notice the reindeer he decorated his tree with, one of them is missing its antlers... Now you know where they went:)

We hope you have a Merry Christmas!!

While the husband is away....

CSU gave their students the whole week of Thanksgiving off. Lucky Rams! So when Jordans parents came up for the weekend before Thanksgiving he rode back with them and I had to stay and go to school until Tuesday. He said NO CHRISTMAS TREE! What a Scrooge! Mostly, because we both have a whole month off for school and are planning on seeing family and friends the whole time so we wont be home much, "so there is no point" he said. Well you should never leave a wife who loves holidays home alone.... with a box full of decorations.... Thats all Im sayin! LOL He is going to die when he sees the place!!! WA HA HA!! The staircase is decorated, the tree'S (emphasis on the S) are up, the stockings are hung and the garland is swaying, nativity is placed, the music is playing. Now all I need is a husband to help me decorate the trees for tradition! Pictures will be up next week when everything is fully decorated:)
